Wireless LAN, Health and Authorization for use
Radio freque ncy electromagnetic energy is emitted from W ireless LAN devices. The energy levels of
these emissions, however, a re far much less than the electromagnetic energy emissions from wireless
devices such as mobile phones. Wireless LAN devices are safe for use by consumers because they
operate within the guidelines found in radio frequency safety stand ards and recommendations. The
use of Wireless LAN devices may be restricted in some situations or environments, such as:
• On board an airplane, or
• In an e xplosive environment, or
• In situations where the interference r isk to other devices or services is
perceived or identi¿ed as harmful.
In cases in which the policy regard ing use of Wireless LAN devices in speci¿c environments is
not clear (e.g., airports, hospitals, chemical/oil/gas industrial plants, private buildings), obtain
authorization to use these devices prior to operating the equipment.
WARNING: The Fujitsu Tablet w hen used in dock mode in the cradle w ill com municate
via RF. The device radiates radio frequency energy at a level below the United S tates
FCC and Canada’s ISED radio frequency exposure limits. However, the Tablet in
docked mode sh all not be used in body worn po sitions. Human contact during normal
operation should be minimized an d a body to Tablet distance of >20cms shall be
maintained. Use of other accessories may not ensure co mpliance with F CC RF
exposure guidelines. Details of the authorized con¿gurations can be found on FC C
website by entering the FCC ID number that is shown on this device.

Installation and use of this Wire less LAN device must be in strict accordance with the instructions
included in the user documentation provided w ith the product . Any changes or modi ¿cations made
to this device that are not expressly approved by the manufacturer may void the user’s authority to
operate the equipment. T he manufacturer is n o t responsible for any radio or television interference
caused by unauth orized modi¿cation of this device, or the substitution o r attachment o f connecting
cables and equ ipment other than those speci ¿ed by the manufacturer. It is the r esp onsibility of the
user to correct any interference caused by such unauthorized modi¿cation, substitution or attachment.
The manufacturer and its authorized resellers or distributors will assume no liability for any damage
or violation of government regulations arising from failure to comply with these guidelines.
This device must not be co-located or operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.
For IEEE 802.11a Wireless LAN: For operation within 5.15~5.25 GHz frequency range , it is
restricted to indoor environments, and the antenna of this device m ust be integral.
