2.2 NAVIGATION AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS
The GIA 63W LRUs contain the VHF COM, VHF NAV, and WAAS GPS receivers. COM and
NAV digital audio is sent to the GMA 1347D Audio Panel. GPS data is sent to the GRS 77 and
both displays for processing. The GTX 33 and GTX 33D Mode S Transponders communicate
with their respective GIA. Transponder data is sent from the GIA to the PFD. The GMA 1347D
Audio Panel controls audio selections and the reversionary mode.
