3.14 Set Modbus
Modbus TCP is a communicaon protocol that allows the Modbus client to acquire thermometry
data from the device, or
congure the temperature measurement funcon via TCP/IP Ethernet
network.
Steps
Note
You can set the Modbus TCP port, go to Conguraon → Network → Basic Sengs → Port .

Go to Conguraon → Network → Advanced Sengs → Modbus .

Select Modbus TCP mode.
Device Mode
The device is set as Subordinate by default, which means that the device operates as a
Modbus server processing the request from the client.
Register Mode
In Read Only, the client can only read all the register data. In Read/Write, the client can
congure the device using the Modbus TCP protocol.

Check Enable Authorized IP Addresses and click Add to add IP addresses that are allowed to
access to the device.
Note
With regard to the network security risk, it is recommended to limit permission only to trusted
IP addresses.
3.15 Operate via Mobile Client
Hik-Connect is an applicaon for mobile devices. Using the App, you can view live image, receive
alarm
nocaon and so on.
Note
Hik-Connect service should be supported by the camera.
