The following table describes the labels in this screen.
Table 43: The Security: VPN Pass-through Screen
IPSec Pass-through Use this field to select whether the IPSec Pass-through
be active or not.
Select Enabled to activate the IPSec Pass-
through.
Select Disabled to deactivate the IPSec Pass-
through.
NOTE: The Internet Protocol Security (IPsec) is a
technology protocol suite for securing IP
communications by authenticating and/or
encrypting each IP packet of a communication
session.
PPTP Pass-through Use this field to select whether the PPTP Pass-through
be active or not.
Select Enabled to activate the PPTP Pass-through.
Select Disabled to deactivate the PPTP Pass-
through.
NOTE: The Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) is
used for providing security levels and remote
access levels comparable with typical VPN
products.
L2TP Pass-through Use this field to select whether the L2TP Pass-through
be active or not.
Select Enabled to activate the L2TP Pass-through.
Select Disabled to deactivate the L2TP Pass-
through.
NOTE: The Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP) is a
tunneling protocol used to support virtual private
networks (VPNs) or as part of the delivery of
services by ISPs.
