Transporting
Do not carry the outboard motor
by the engine cover. The engine
cover can be unlatched and
outboard motor can drop, resulting
in an accidental injury and
damage.
When transporting the outboard
motor on a vehicle, perform the
following.
1. Remove the engine cover (see page
50), and drain the vapor separator
(see page 131).
2. Set the hoist hook against the
lifting eye and hang the outboard
motor to remove it from the boat.
3. Secure the outboard motor on an
outboard motor stand with the
mounting bolts and nuts.
