Configuring redundancy management
iPDU redundancy management requirements
To properly configure redundancy management, you need:
• Two iPDUs of the same model.
• At least one Intelligent Extension Bar for each iPDU.
To enable the iPDUs to automatically group device outlets, you need:
• An HP ProLiant server with iLO 2 v2.0 or newer firmware or iLO 3 v1.05 or newer firmware and HP
ProLiant 94% efficiency common slot power supplies.
• PLC power cables for each managed device.
To cable the devices:
1. Connect at least one Intelligent Extension Bar to each iPDU.
2. Connect at least one server to an Intelligent Extension Bar outlet on each iPDU. Use PLC power
cables to allow for automatic device grouping.
