Be sure that all device entries on the Outlet Device Assignment screen contain a unique UUID
(GUID).
5. Be sure that all device outlets are in the same state, for example, all outlets are off or all outlets are
on. If all device outlets are not in the same state, disable redundancy control for the device outlets
and sync all outlets to the same state before enabling redundancy control again.
Service Menu does not appear on a serially-
connected host computer
Action:
1. Be sure that the serial cable is connected to the correct serial connector on the Display Unit.
2. Be sure that the serial cable is connected to the correct COM port on the host computer.
3. Reset the iPDU while an active terminal emulation session is open.
4. Be sure that the baud rate is set to 115200. The serial settings for the iPDU are:
o Bits per second—115200
o Data bits—8
o Parity—None
o Stop bits—1
o Flow control—None
Special characters not allowed in manual data fields
Possible Cause: The following characters cannot be used in manual data fields: <, >, [, ], (, ), \, /, :,
", and space.
Exception: The / character is allowed in the Model field on the Outlet Device Assignment screen.
Action: Enter manual data without using disallowed characters.
Unable to obtain a valid network address error
message displays
Possible Cause:
• The iPDU is unable to connect to the DHCP server.
• The MAC address for the iPDU is not in the DHCP server.
• A duplicate IP address on the network is detected.
Action:
1. Be sure that a DHCP server is on the network.
2. Be sure that the MAC address for the iPDU is in the DHCP server.
3. Be sure that the IP address is valid and not in use by another device on the network.
