iPDU alarms
The iPDU enables you to send an email notification or SNMP trap to specified recipients if a certain alert
situation prevails.
The following table lists information for all alarm messages.
Alarm text Description Recommendation
Display Communication
Error
The Display Unit can no longer
communicate with the iPDU.
Check the communication link.
Load Segment Current The current for the circuit breaker
is above the warning or critical
limit.
Relocate a load to a different load
segment.
Managed Ext. Bar
Communication Error
An Intelligent Extension Bar can no
longer communicate with the iPDU.
Check the communication link.
Topology Discovery Error An outlet device on an Intelligent
Extension Bar can no longer
communicate with the iPDU.
Check the communication link.
PDU Voltage High* The voltage for the iPDU is above
the warning or critical limit.
Check the iPDU input voltage.
PDU Voltage Low* The voltage for the iPDU is below
the warning or critical limit.
Check the iPDU input voltage.
Phase Load The phase load is above the
warning or critical limit.
Balance the loads across all available
load segments.
Total PDU Load The total load of the iPDU is above
the warning or critical limit.
Consider moving a load to a different
iPDU.
Redundancy The iPDU cannot communicate with
the redundant PDU or there is a
redundancy configuration error.
Check the status of the redundant PDU
and the configuration settings for each
iPDU.
* Input voltage alarms for NA/JPN model iPDUs are based on voltage specifications regulated in the United States
(from 188 volts to 228 volts). In Japan, the regulated voltage is from 182 volts to 222 volts.
