IPv4 DHCP assigned address is not listed with other
network interface parameters
Symptom: When the iPDU is assigned a DHCP address, the IPv4 address acquired from the network is not
listed with other network interface parameters.
Possible Cause: The IPv4 address is listed with the hardware parameters.
Action: This is a known issue. No action is required.
Links in traps and emails do not work correctly for
Linux
Action: Update the /etc/hosts file with the correct IP address.
No power
Action: Verify that the iPDU is connected to a working outlet and that the iPDU is powered up.
If a host computer is connected directly to a iPDU Core Unit serial port, the LEDs turn off, the Service
Menu and web interface do not respond, and the iPDU can appear to be powered off. Only use the
serial connector on the Display Unit to connect a host computer. Do not connect a host computer directly
to a Core Unit serial port.
Non-admin users cannot log in through telnet
Possible Cause: A user account was added, but the password was not set.
Action: An administrator must edit the user account to set a password.
Receiving a security error
Symptom: Security error: Domain Name mismatch message when trying to browse with SSL.
Possible Cause: The IP address or server name has changed.
Action: Stop the service, delete the certificate file, and restart the service.
Redundancy Status icon is red
Symptom: The Redundancy Status icon on the Control tab is red.
Action:
1. Be sure that there are no active critical redundant communication alarms.
2. Be sure that there are N device power cable connections to both iPDU Feed A and iPDU Feed B.
3. Be sure that there are no more than four device UUID (GUID) entries per device on the Outlet Device
Assignment screen for each iPDU.
