l Use Intelligent Computing Compatibility Checker to obtain information about the
cables and optical modules supported by the LOM ports.
l The LOM ports support NC-SI, WOL, and PXE.
l The LOM ports do not support forced rates.
l The electrical LOM ports cannot be connected to power over Ethernet (PoE) devices
(such as a switch with PoE enabled). Connecting a LOM port to a PoE device may
cause link communication failure or even damage the NIC.
l The electrical LOM ports do not support SR-IOV.
l Forcibly powering off a server will cause intermittent NC-SI disconnection and disable
the Wake on LAN (WOL) function of the LOM ports. To restore the NC-SI connection,
refresh the iBMC WebUI.
2.3 Processor
l The server supports one or two processors.
l If only one processor is required, install it in socket CPU1.
l The same model of processors must be used in a server.
l Contact your local Huawei sales representative or use the Intelligent Computing
Compatibility Checker to determine the components to be used.
