Setting Up Your Computer
You are now ready to configure and start your computer. First, install the battery pack.

Slide and hold the latches on both sides of the computer
toward
you, and push up the liquid
crystal display (LCD). Open the LCD all the way.
When the LCD opens, the keyboard is slanted slightly at an easy typing angle.

Slide the keyboard raisers 1 on both sides of the keyboard toward you, so the keyboard lies flat
on the computer.
Make sure the security latch 2 is at the right position (unlocked). If it is at the left position (
),
push and slide it to the right.
Note:
Always push the keyboard down flat on the computer whenever you open the keyboard.

Hook your thumbs on the tabs 3 on the front of the keyboard, and your index fingers on the
same latches used in step 1. Push and hold the latches
away
from you; then raise the keyboard.
Some pressure might be needed to unlock these latches if they are tight.
