Driving your vehicle Drive mode integrated control system
The above situations are normal
conditions when ECO mode is acti
vated to improve fuel efficiency.
Limitation of ECO mode operation:
If the following conditions occur
while ECO mode is operating, the
system operation is limited even
though there is no change in the
ECO indicator.
䳜 When driving the vehicle with the
Automatic/DCT/IVT transmission
gear shift lever in sport mode.
The system will be limited accord
ing to the shift location.
SPORT mode
SPORT mode manages the
driving dynamics by auto
matically adjusting the
steering effort, and the engine and
transmission control logic for
enhanced driver performance.
䳜 When SPORT mode is selected by
turning the knob, the SPORT indi
cator will illuminate.
䳜 Whenever the engine is restarted,
the Drive Mode will revert back to
NORMAL mode. If SPORT mode is
desired, re-select SPORT mode
from the knob.
䳜 When SPORT mode is activated:
- The engine rpm will tend to
remain raised over a certain
length of time even after
releasing the accelerator.
- Upshifts are delayed when
accelerating.
In SPORT mode, the fuel efficiency
may decrease.
Traction control (if equipped)
Traction Control is a system that
achieve optimal driving performance
by controlling engine and braking by
road condition (snow/wet, muddy,
SNOW/WET (1), MUD (2) or SAND (3)
sandy)
Traction control mode
If you press the "DRIVE/TRACTION"
mode button, the driving mode is
changed from Driving control to
Traction control. You can select
mode by rotation the knob. If you
press the "DRIVE/TRACTION" mode
button again, the driving mode is
changed from Traction Control to
previous driving control.
