Safety features of your vehicle Child restraint system (CRS)
Child Restraint Systems must be
properly installed in the vehicle seat.
Always use a commercially available
Child Restraint System that meets
the requirements of your country.
Child Restraint System (CRS)
Infants and younger children must
be restrained in an appropriate
rearward-facing or forward-facing
CRS that has first been properly
secured to the seat of the vehicle.
Read and comply with the instruc
tions for installation and use pro
vided by the manufacturer of the
Child Restraint System.
䳜 Always follow the Child Restraint
System manufacturer's instruc
tions for installation and use.
䳜 Always properly restrain your
child in the Child Restraint Sys
tem.
䳜 Do not use an infant carrier or a
child safety seat that "hooks"
over a seatback, it may not pro
vide adequate protection in an
accident.
䳜 After an accident, have the sys
tem checked by a professional
workshop. Kia recommends to
visit an authorized Kia dealer/ser
vice partner.
Selecting a Child Restraint System
(CRS)
When selecting a Child Restraint
System for your child, always:
䳜 Make sure the Child Restraint
System has a label certifying that
it meets the applicable Safety
Standards of your country.
A Child Restraint System may
only be installed if it was
approved in accordance with the
requirements of ECE-R44 or ECE-
R129.
䳜 Select a Child Restraint System
based on your child's height and
weight. The required label or the
instructions for use typically pro
vide this information.
䳜 Select a Child Restraint System
that fits the vehicle seating posi
tion where it will be used.
