A Tractor engine will not start if the PTO clutch control
switch is in the engaged "ON" position.
BStationary PTO
To park the tractor and use the PTO system (for chipper
or pump, for example), start the PTO system in the
following steps.
1. Apply the parking brakes and place blocks at the tires.
2. Make sure the shift levers are at NEUTRAL, and start
the engine.
3. Tilt the operator's seat forward.
4. Set the PTO clutch control switch to engage"ON".
5. Set the engine speed to provide recommended rear
PTO speed.
A If the PTO system is engaged and you stand up from
the seat or the seat is not tilted forward, the engine
stops automatically after standing up.
BPTO Shaft Cover and Shaft Cap
Keep the PTO shaft cover in place at all times.
Replace the PTO shaft cap when the shaft is not in use.
When connecting or disconnecting the joint to PTO shaft,
raise up the PTO shaft cover.
A The universal joint of the PTO drive shaft is technically
limited in its moving angle. Refer to the PTO Drive
Shaft Instructions for proper use.
