9. Check the anesthetic agent type and concentration monitored by the internal AG module.
Verify that the anesthetic agent type is consistent with the vaporizer type and the
concentration is 0.8%–1.2%.
5.10 Circuit Function Tests
5.10.1 O2 Concentration and Tidal Volume Test
When performing this test in the EFCS state, air must be set as the balance gas and
the direct flow control mode must be set. The system must be connected to O2 and
air supplies.
Attach a test lung to the Y-fitting of the breathing circuit.
Attach a sample line to the y-piece when using an AG module.
1. When the module rack is installed with the AG module and the module has been warmed up,
connect the exhaust port of the AG module to the return hose of the quick connector and
connect the quick connector to the sample gas return port.
2. Connect the test lung for ventilation. Set ventilator control parameters as follows:

3. Adjust the O2 and air flow to 3 L/min. Wait for one minute until the O2 concentration is
stable. The concentration displayed on the screen is 60±3%. Verify that the concentration
for external standard equipment is 60±3%.
4. Set AIR flow to 0.
5. Set the O2 flow to about 1 L/min.
6. After 10-waveform running in ventilation mode, verify that the displayed Vt value is
455–545 mL.
5.10.2 APL Valve Test
1. Adjust the Auto/Manual switch to Manual.
2. Verify that the ring light of the APL valve is on and the current mode displayed on the
screen is the manual mode.
3. Connect the Y-piece in the breathing circuit to the leak test port.
4. Turn the APL valve control knob to 30 cmH2O.
