3.4.3 Installing the CR1DA control unit and the DU1A drive unit
The illustration below shows the installed CR1DA control unit and DU1A drive unit. Please observe
these important instructions:

The control unit and drive unit can be installed vertically or horizontally. Only the horizontal
installation option is described in this manual. Please contact your MITSUBISHI sales partner for
information on vertical installation of the control unit and/or drive unit if necessary.
●
Do not block the air vents at the bottom of the control unit or drive unit. To ensure adequate
ventilation, install the units on the plastic feet provided or install spacers if you bolt the units into
place.
●
Make sure that there is at least 50 mm of free space on the left of the unit, at least 20 mm on the
right and at least 170 mm at the rear.
●
Take steps to ensure that the maximum permitted ambient temperature of 40 °C is never exceed-
ed when installing the units in switch-gear cabinets.
