1 Setting Functions for the Fine Focus Knob
(1) Changing Operation Mode of Fine Focus Knob
Change the operation mode of the fine focus knob used for the focusing mechanism.
[Operation mode list]
Coarse = 100 µm/rev. Middle = 50 µm/rev. Fine = 20 µm/rev
The fine focus knob is set to the coarse mode by default.
Note:
The travel distance per rotation of the fine focus knob in each operation mode is a rough guide; precise accuracy is
not guaranteed. The travel distance varies in proportion with how fast you rotate the fine focus knob. The travel
distances shown in the table above represent values when turning the knob at 2 to 3 seconds per rotation.
The focus travel in Fine mode indicated in the table above refers to the value initially set. Travel can be adjusted
only for Fine mode. For more information, refer to the following section (2) "Adjusting Travel Distance for Fine
Mode."
When the TE2000-U or the TE2000-S is used, the focusing mechanism cannot be controlled electrically, therefore
you cannot change the operation mode.
