3-1-5 Inputting Addresses and Numbers
Use the following buttons to input addresses and numbers in dialog boxes. (The format
depends on the dialog box, but the operations and settings are the same.)

(1) Input character display Displays the currently input alphanumeric string. If there are
multiple input locations in a single dialog box, the input object can
be switched by pressing the input character display. The input
character display that is currently receiving the input is displayed
in yellow.
(2) Bit/word Used to select bits or words when inputting an address.
(3) Address Area Buttons Used to selects the address area.
(4) 0 to 9 and A to F

Use to input numerals.
(5) Period Button Inputs periods to delimit the word address from the bit number.
(6) BS Button Clears the rightmost character in the input character display.
(7) CLR Button Clears the character string in the input character display.
Inputting Addresses

Inputting Bit Addresses
Use either of the following formats to input bits.
• [Word address] . (period) [Bit number]
• [Word address] [Bit number]
If a period is not used, then the rightmost two digits will be treated as the bit number. If a
period is used, there is no need to input leading zeros in bit numbers. There is no need to
input leading zeros in the word addresses.
