3. Remove the snorkel tube and shaft assembly from
the transmission case.
4. Remove the snap ring (Y) and shim (Z) from the
snorkel shaft.
5. Use an arbor press to remove the snorkel tube from
the snorkel shaft.
6. Remove the snap ring (A) and shim (B) retaining the
bearing in the snorkel tube.
7. Lightly tap on the bearing from the opposite side to
remove it from the snorkel tube.
8. Remove the retaining ring to remove the remaining
washer, bearing and gear from the snorkel shaft.
