Passwords can be defined for each level. This is done using the base
station’s WebUI (Tools > Tools > User Administration). Refer to the base
station Help for more information on setting user access levels.
Connections to the base station can be authenticated by a remote
(i.e. centralized) service. Refer to “Setting Up Authentication” on page 95
and the base station Help for more information.
5.2.1 Logging In
1. Enter the base station’s URL into your browser using a secure con-
nection (https://). To find out the base station’s IP address, on the
front panel select Modules > Reciter 1 (or 2) > View Reciter 1 (or 2)
Address. To set the IP address, refer to “Setting the IP Address” on
page 92.
Notice If access to this menu has been disabled, you cannot use the
front panel to find out the IP address. Make sure that you store the IP
address securely and do not lose it.
2. A security warning appears when you connect for the first time.
Proceed anyway (refer to “Security Certificates” on page 93).
3. The login screen appears.
4. Enter your user name and password. When connecting for the first
time, enter the user name
admin and password tbc_admin.
5. Click Login.
Notice After logging in we recommend that you change the pass-
word and username for your own security (refer to “Working with the
Web Interface” on page 96). Make sure that you store your passwords
and usernames securely and do not lose them. They may be needed by
Tait support personnel if assistance is required. Tait cannot retrieve
forgotten passwords.
