Base Station
Channels
Channels can be edited from Configure > Base Station > Channels.
Select a channel and click Edit to view details of the channel. Clicking
directly on any text in a row will also open the edit screen.
Notice Using a comma-separated values (CSV) file to update chan-
nel configurations is for advanced users only as it could cause a loss of
information. Save a backup CSV before importing a file with major
changes.
The channels table can be exported to a CSV file by clicking Export Table.
You can edit this file in a spreadsheet program or text editor of your choice,
and import it back into the base station. This can be done by either clicking
on Import Table, or by dragging and dropping the file over the table.
Importing a table will replace the contents of the table with the contents of
the CSV file, if the CSV file is valid.
This feature is supported for the channels table, channel groups table,
channel profiles table, and signaling profiles table.
When a CSV file is imported, the values in it must be valid. (The values are
validated in the same way as they would be if being edited directly in the
WebUI.) There are also some additional mandatory requirements for the
format of imported CSV files, as outlined below:
■ The file name must end with .csv
■ The file name must include the name of the table, e.g. channeltable
(this is case-insensitive)
■ Each row must occupy only one line, and all rows but the last row must
end with a line break (Windows and Unix-like line breaks are both
supported)
■ The file must contain a header row of column names, and this row must
appear before any other non-blank row
■ No duplicate columns are allowed
■ No duplicate row ID numbers are allowed
■ Each row must contain the same number of values
■ Values may not be empty or consist only of whitespace
■ The order of the columns does not matter
■ Use the period character to indicate a decimal number. Any commas in
a number will be ignored (for example, write 10.5 not 10,5).
■ At least one column from the table being imported must be present in
the imported file. Any columns which are in the table but not the file
will be filled with default values. You will be notified of any columns
filled with default values upon a successful import. This only applies to
the rows that you upload i.e. leaving the name column blank when
importing a channel group table will only give default names to the rows
contained in the CSV file.
