WHEN TO REPLACE YOUR WHEELS
If you have wheel damage such as
bending, cracks or heavy cor rosion, the
wheel should be replaced.
If y ou fail to replace a damaged wheel,
the t ire may sl ip off the wheel or cause
loss of handl ing contr ol.
WHEEL SELECTION
When r eplacing wheels, care shoul d be
taken to ensur e that t he wheels ar e re-
placed by ones with the same load ca-
pacity, diameter, rim width, and inset

(singl e wheels) or off set ( dual wheels) .
Correc t replacement wheels are availabl e
at your Toy ota dealer.

A wheel of a diff erent siz e or type may
advers ely aff ect handli ng, wheel and bear-
ing l ife, brak e c ooling, speedometer /odom-
eter c alibration, stopping ability, headlight
aim, bumper height, vehic le ground c lear-
ance, and tire or snow c hain c learanc e to
the body and chassi s.
Replacement with us ed wheels is not r ec-
ommended as they may have been sub-
ject ed t o rough tr eatment or high mileage
and coul d fai l wi thout war ning. Also, bent
wheels which hav e been str aightened may
have str uctur al damage and theref ore
should not be us ed. Nev er use an inner
tube in a leaki ng wheel whic h is desi gned
for a tubeles s tir e.
