Fan speed selector
Move the lev er to adjus t t he fan
speed—t o the right to inc rease, to the left
to decreas e.
Temperat ure selector
This lev er is used to adjus t the tempera-
ture of the cool ed air.
Move the l ever to the ri ght t o l ower t he
temperat ure. Mov ing t he lever t o the
“OFF” posi tion tur ns off the cooler.
Ram air ventilation button
This butt on is used to i ncreas e t he intak e
of fres h outside air for v entil ation.
Press in the butt on when the ai r i n the
vehic le is uncl ean.
Air int ake selector
Press the but ton t o sel ect the air sourc e.

tem.
D To c ool off y our Toy ota af ter it has
been park ed in the hot sun, driv e wit h
the windows open for a few minutes.
This vent s the hot air, allowing the
cooler to cool the interi or more quic kly.
D Make sure the air intake grilles abov e
the winds hield ar e not blocked ( by
leaves or s now, for example).
D On humid days , do not blow cold air
on t he winds hield. The winds hield coul d
fog up becaus e of the di fferenc e in air
temperat ure on the i nside and out side
of the windshi eld.
D When dr iving on dus ty roads, cl ose all
windows. If dust t hrown up by the ve-
hicl e is stil l drawn i nto the v ehicl e after
clos ing t he windows , it is r ecommended
that the air intake selector be set to
FRESH and the f an s peed s elector to
any sett ing except “O FF”.
D If f ollowing another vehic le on a dusty
road, or drivi ng in windy and dus ty
condit ions, it is recommended that the
air int ake sel ector be t emporari ly set to
RECIRCULATE, whi ch wil l clos e off the
outsi de pass age and pr event outs ide
air and dust fr om enter ing t he vehic le
interior.
