For your safety and comfor t, adjust t he
head restrai nt before dri ving.
To raise: Pull it up.
To lower : Push it down while press ing the
lock r elease butt on.
To r emove: Pull it up whil e pres sing the
lock r elease butt on.
The head rest raint is most effectiv e when
it is cl ose to your head. Therefore, using
a c ushion on the seatbac k is not recom-
mended.
CAUTION
D Adjust the center of t he head re-
strai nt so t hat it is closest to the
top of your ears.
D Use t he head restrai nt designed fo r
the driver’s seat.
D After adjusting the head restraint,
make sur e it i s locked in position.
D Do not dr ive with the head rest raint
removed.

str ained at all times with the seat belt s
provi ded. Failur e t o do so coul d increase
the chanc e of injury and/ or the sev erity of
injur y in acci dents.
The s eat belts prov ided for your vehic le
are des igned for people of adul t s ize,
large enough to properly wear t hem.
Child. Use a child restraint system ap-
propri ate f or t he chi ld unt il the c hild be-
comes large enough t o pr operly wear t he
vehic le’s seat bel ts.
If a child is too large for a child restraint
system, the child should s it in the rear
seat adjacent to the pass engers’ door and
must be rest rained usi ng the vehi cle’s
seat belt. Accor ding to acci dent s tatis tic s,
the c hild i s safer when pr operly restr ained
in the rear seat than in the fr ont seat.
Do not all ow any c hildren t o stand up or
kneel on either rear or front seat s. An
unrest rained child could suff er serious i n-
jury or death during emergency brak ing or
a collision. Also, do not let the child sit
on your lap. Holding a c hild i n your arms
does not provi de suffic ient res trai nt.
