■ Installation
1 Position the presser foot pin directly below the groove
in the presser foot holder.
2 Lower the presser foot lever to attach the presser foot.
* Raise the presser foot lever again to check that the presser foot is
securely attached.
In order to avoid losing the presser foot, we recommend storing the
machine, when it is not being used, with the needle and the presser
foot lowered.
Place a piece of fabric under the presser foot to protect the feed dog.
Changing the presser foot holder
■ Removal
1 Raise the presser foot lever.
2 Follow the procedure described in “Changing the presser foot” (refer to page 25) to remove
the presser foot.
3 Hold the presser foot holder with your right hand,
and then turn the needle plate screwdriver towards
the back of the machine with your left hand to
loosen the presser foot holder clamp screw.
Tip
Before changing the presser foot holder, use the main power switch to turn off the
sewing machine.
Not doing so could cause injuries.
