• Do not use detergent, bleach, benzine, thinner or chemically treated cloths. Doing so could cause
discoloration or cracking.
* If the thread becomes entangled in the bobbin case or race, or if the bobbin case moves out of position,
refer to the following procedure.
■ Cleaning
1 Remove the needle, presser foot, bobbin case
cover and bobbin.
Use the included needle plate screwdriver to turn the two
needle plate screws counterclockwise and remove them.
* For details on removing the needle, refer to page 24.
For details on removing the presser foot, refer to page 25.
2 Remove the needle plate.
12 Maintenance and storage
For safety, use the main power switch to turn off the sewing
machine, and then remove the power plug from the outlet.
Not doing so could cause injuries.
