Features of OEKAKI (free-motion embroidering)
O = formal prefix, E = picture, KAKI = to draw
OEKAKI was derived from the Japanese word “to draw”. We wanted to bring you a sewing machine which helps
you create special, unique and personal projects while having fun.
Since the feed dog is lowered during OEKAKI (free-motion embroidering) mode, the fabric can be freely
moved.
In OEKAKI (free-motion embroidering) mode, the stitch width can be adjusted by how much the foot controller
is pressed.
* Lightly stepping on the foot controller selects a narrow stitch width; stepping further on the foot controller selects a
wider stitch width. Slightly releasing the foot controller selects a narrower stitch width.
When the foot controller is connected, the sewing machine cannot be started by pressing the start/stop
button. At the end of sewing, the machine can be stopped by pressing the start/stop button.
In OEKAKI (free-motion embroidering) mode, the sewing speed cannot be adjusted with the foot controller as
in utility stitching mode. For details on changing the sewing speed, refer to page 47.
In OEKAKI mode, the reverse sewing button cannot be used.
