Printing from computers, settings are generally made on the application software screen. However, the following
settings are available for configuring the defaults to customize the machine.

NOTE: If user login administration is enabled, you can only change the settings by logging in with
administrator privileges.
Emulation
Select the emulation for operating this machine by commands oriented to other types of printers.
Selection of emulation
The printer can emulate PCL 6, KPDL and KPDL(Auto).
Use the procedure below to select the emulation.
1 Press the System Menu Key.
2 Press [Printer] > [Change] of Emulation.
3 Select the desired emulation.
NOTE: If you selected [KPDL(Auto)], set Alternative Emulation, too. (Refer to page 9-59)
When you have selected [KPDL] or [KPDL(Auto)], set KPDL Error Report, too. (Refer to page 9-59)
4 Press [OK].
