Repairs and Adjustments
Adjustment
1. Access Diagnostic Routines.
a. Enter UI Diagnostics (UI Diagnostic Mode).
2. Select NVM Read/Write.
3. Adjust the measured values of the Lead (A) and Side Edges (B) using the following NVM
so that the measured values fall within the specifications of the respective supporting
modes.
If the measured value is shorter than specification above (A or B): Set a larger value.
If the measured value is longer than specification above (A or B): Set a smaller value.
• Adjustment of A (Lead Edge), refer to Table 3 below.
• Adjustment of B (Side Edge), refer to Table 4 below.
4. After adjustment, print the test pattern in the same mode and measure the Lead and Side
Edge values. Repeat this procedure until the values fall within the specifications.
5. Repeat the procedure until the measured values of the Lead (A) and Side Edges (B) fall
within the specifications.
