2.9 Transmission and axle drives
2.9.1 Check the oil level in the transmission
Preliminary conditions
• Place the tractor level on a flat surface.
• Front axle suspension in center position.
• Start the engine and allow to run for approx. two minutes at idle speed.
Check the oil level
Procedure
1.
Switch off the engine and wait a minimum of
two minutes.
2.
Remove dipstick (A).
3.
Wipe dipstick with a clean lint-free rag.
4.
Reinsert dipstick fully and twist into place.
5.
Remove the dipstick.
NOTE:
Oil level must be between the MIN and MAX
marks on the dipstick.
6.
Top up the transmission oil through the filler
hole as required.
NOTE:
The difference in oil quantity between the
MIN and MAX marks on the dipstick is
approx. 5 l.

Preliminary conditions
• Only carry out oil change when the transmission oil is warm.
Drain transmission oil.
NOTE:
Collect used oil; do not let it seep into the ground.
Dispose of drained oil according to the appropriate regulations.
Procedure
1.
Place oil drip pan underneath the
transmission.
2.
Loosen oil drain plug (A) and allow oil to drain
completely.
3.
Clean the oil drain plug (A), screw in and
tighten.
