WARNING AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The devices in the SEFELEC 5x range are intended for testing dielectric strength, and high or
low resistances.
Warning:
IMPORTANT
The measurement device must only be used in conformity with the provi-
sions mentioned above.
Correct use of a measurement device implies transport, installation, han-
dling and maintenance according to the instructions in this manual.
It is also necessary to comply with the required conditions for the operat-
ing environment.
Safety instructions before use:
WARNING
Before using the measurement device, check the integrity of the power
cord, and especially check that it has not suffered mechanical damage
that could cause a wire to be directly accessible and/or cause an open
circuit.
Before using the measurement device, check the integrity of the meas-
urement wires, and especially check that they have not suffered mechani-
cal damage that could cause a wire to be directly accessible and/or in
open circuit.
Before using the measurement device, check its connection by a ground
cable connected directly via the stud at the rear of the measurement de-
vice.
Before using the measurement device, check that none of its air vents are
obstructed and that they allow air to circulate freely.
Before using the measurement device, check that the connectors on its
front panel are not damaged and/or unlocked.
Using the ON/OFF button, turn on the measurement device and check
that the blue light on the front panel goes on.
Safety instructions after use:
WARNING
After using the measurement device, and before any action on the meas-
urement device, check that the red light on its front panel is OFF and the
green light ON.
Using the ON/OFF button, turn the measurement device off and check
that the blue light on the front panel of the measurement device goes off.
Disconnect the product tested.
