Using the Internet Fax Service

E-Mail Environment
To use the Internet Fax feature, configure the following settings for your e-mail
environment.
*1 : When you use the Internet Fax Direct feature, set [Tools] > [Fax Service Settings] > [Internet Fax Control] > [Internet Fax Path]
to [Direct (P2P)].
*2 : ApeosPort Series models only.
Note • To transmit e-mails encrypted by S/MIME or with digital signatures attached, a certificate must be
ready in advance. For more information on a certificate, refer to "Configuration of E-mail
Encryption/Digital Signature" (P.393).

The SMTP server can also be used for receiving e-mails.

configure a user name for authentication. Set the
