Preparing to Use the Printer with Google Cloud Print
To use Google Cloud Print, you need to prepare the following in advance:
• Connect the printer to a network that has access to the Internet.
NOTE:
• Google Cloud Print supports only IPv4 connection.
• If the printer is connected to a network that uses a proxy server, you need to specify the settings in Proxy Server from the
CentreWare Internet Services. For more information, see "CentreWare Internet Services" on page 25.
• Acquire a Google account and a Gmail™ address.
• Set Google Cloud Print to Enable from the operator panel menu, or set GCP to Enabled from the
CentreWare Internet Services.
• When using the operator panel
1 Press the (Menu) button.
2 Select Admin Setting, and then press the button.
3 Select Network, and then press the button.
4 Select Protocol, and then press the button.
5 Select Google Cloud Print, and then press the button.
6 Select Enable, and then press the button.
7 Turn off the printer, and turn it on again to apply the settings.
• When using the CentreWare Internet Services
1 Launch the CentreWare Internet Services by entering IP address of the printer in your web browser.
For more information, see "CentreWare Internet Services" on page 25.
2 Click the Properties tab.
3 In the left navigation panel, click Port Status.
4 Select the Enabled check box for GCP.
5 Click Apply.
6 Click Reboot Machine to restart the printer.
The printer is ready for Google Cloud Print.
Registering the Printer to Your Google Account
To register the printer to your Google account, follow the procedure below.
1 Launch the CentreWare Internet Services by entering IP address of the printer in your web browser.
For more information, see "CentreWare Internet Services" on page 25.
2 Click the Properties tab.
3 In the left navigation panel, scroll down to Protocol Settings and click Google Cloud Print.
4 Click Register This Device to Google Cloud Print.
A sheet with a URL for the Google Cloud Print printer registration web site is printed.
5 From the web browser of your computer, visit the Google web site and sign in with your Google account. Visit
the Google Cloud Print registration web site by entering the URL on the printout into your web browser. You can
also visit the site by scanning the QR code with your mobile device.
