4.6 Program Numbers
1) The following summarizes the programs used in the system. The radar and RP programs are
stored on the flash ROM, and the ARP program on the PROM.
2) How to switch between English and Japanese Versions
The following key operation can change the English menu to the Japanese one, and vice
versa.
(1) Turn on the unit.
(2) While pressing and holding down the HL OFF [1] key, press the PANEL BRILL [2] key,
the MODE [3] key, and the OFF CENTER [4] key in this order.
(3) And then, turn off the unit.

4.7 How to update system program
Radar System Program
The radar system program, stored onto the flash ROM U11 on the SPU board, is replaced by
following procedure.
Connection
The series port of a personal computer (PC) is connected to the J456 on the INT board inside the
radar.
Procedure
1. Open the program file, and click the up.bat file.
The message “TARGET POWER ON” appears.
2. Turn on the radar.
“Now Erasing” and then, “xxx percent completed” appears on the PC screen. Nothing appears
on the radar screen. The program update is terminated with the message “Finish Version up. ”
