6.20 Side stand

The side stand
is located on the left side of the vehicle.

The side stand is used for parking the motorcycle.

When you are riding, the side stand
must be folded up and secured with
rubber band
.
6.21 Steering lock (FE EU/AU)

Steering lock
is fitted on the left side of the steering head.
The steering lock is used to lock the steering. Steering, and therefore riding, is no
longer possible.
6.22 Locking the steering (FE EU/AU)

Danger of damage The parked vehicle may roll away or fall over.
– Always place the vehicle on a firm and even surface.

– Park the vehicle.
– Turn the handlebar as far as possible to the right.
– Grease the steering lock regularly.
Universal oil spray ( p. 114)
– Insert the key in the steering lock ( p. 19), turn it to the left, press it in, and turn
it to the right. Remove the key.
Steering is no longer possible.
Info
Never leave the key in the steering lock.
