Work clamp
Hand cutting: The work clamp must be connected to the workpiece you are cutting.
Mechanized cutting: If you are using this system with a cutting table, you can connect the
work clamp directly to the table or to the workpiece you are cutting. See your table
manufacturers instructions.
Make sure the work clamp makes
good metal-to-metal contact with
the workpiece or cutting table.
Remove rust, dirt, paint, coatings,
and other debris so the work
clamp makes proper contact with
the workpiece or cutting table.
To achieve the best cut quality,
attach the work clamp as close
as possible to the area being cut.
CAUTION
Do not attach the work clamp to a water table or in close proximity to water. If water runs
through the work lead and into the power supply, severe damage to the power supply can result.
CAUTION
Do not attach the work clamp to the portion of the workpiece to be cut away.
