Using Your Machine
Power Switch
There are two power switches for your machine. The main power switch is at the rear of the machine and
another power switch is at the front of the machine for added convenience.
The machine is turned on when both switches are turned on. The machine is turned o when both
switches are o. However, you may turn o the machine funcons by turning o only the front switch if
you will be returning to quilng within a day.
Turn on the back switch rst by toggling the switch from the 0 posion to the 1 posion. Then turn on
the front switch by pressing it. The front switch will not turn on the machine unless the back switch is
already on.
 IMPORTANT: If you will not be using the machine for more than a day, we recommend you turn o
both switches and unplug the power cord from the power source.

Lighng
The QMP 20 includes several lights to make it easy for you to see your quilng area: two lights under the
throat of the machine that provide lighng to the quilng area and a light ring that illuminates the needle
and stching area. There is also a bobbin area light. Oponal UV lights will be available as an accessory for
purchase. UV lights are helpful when you need to see white thread or white chalk on white fabric.
Turning the lights on and o is done through the touch-screen display. For more informaon about

of this manual.
Magnec Tool Minder Collar
Use the le side of the collar to store steel tools, such as mini scissors, close at hand.
Machine Needle
Use only the recommended needle system for your QMP 20 quilng machine. The machine was med to
use this specic type of needle (System 134) and it is designed to work with the high quilng speeds and
mul-direconal stching the QMP 20 oers.
