4.32 Salt Container in Door (SIT) Removal
1. Remove the door outer panel. See Section 010-4.1.
2. Remove the SIT retaining screws (see Figure 050-31, Item 1).
3. Remove the connection plug (reed switch) on the SIT (see
Figure 050-31, Item 2).
4. Remove the frame of the opening on the inside of the door.
5. Using a blunt knife, bend the metal flange on the 6 lugs, first downwards
and then upwards.
6. Remove the SIT.

Warning!
As there is brine in the SIT, have a means for collecting it on hand (bucket
and cloth).
7. Disconnect the hoses of the brine valve (Y60, marked red) and the water
inlet mixer (marked white). This prevents air from getting into the system.
