Remedy:
Step 1: After replacing the electronic, switch on the machine and choose the
desired operating language. Press ‘OK’ and switch off the machine.
Step 2: Enter programming mode to confirm/set the following positions:
Pos 28 Country variant = USA
Pos 29 Model variant = 1
Step 3: Once these settings are confirmed, switch off the machine and re-
access programming mode to confirm/set:
Pos 27 Appliance height = XXL (G 2xxx)
Step 4: Determine if the customer’s home has a whole-house water softener.
If so, deactivate the softener by setting the hardness to the level provided by
the external softener. If this is unknown, set the hardness to 8°. Otherwise,
“Automatic” is appropriate.
Pos 24 Sensor softener = Automatic or 1 – 70 (Manual hardness
setting)
Alternatively, these settings can be accessed via the Miele Diagnostic
Support software.
These instructions are also included with the replacement electronic.
3 Changing the Door Handle Style on a Dishwasher
Delivered as ‘SF’ (Pre-Finished)
Pre-finished models can have their handles changed for esthetic reasons.
Applies to models:
Incognito (Vi) style SF models, G 2670, G 2470, G 2180, G 2170
Item:
SF-style door handles have a slightly different mounting design than the
handles available for a GFVI panel (for non-SF models); the following steps
will illustrate how to make the change.
Procedure:
Remove the door panel.
Use a T-20 Torx driver to loosen the 4 panel mounting screws (2 on each
side, see illustration) and lift the panel off.
