3. Install the two oil pump dowels
w

4. Install the three oil pump fasteners
q
and torque to
specification.
TORQUE
Oil Pump Fasteners:
7 ft-lbs (10 Nm)
5. Install the oil sump. Refer to Oil Sump Service page
3.51.
UPPER CRANKCASE SERVICE
REMOVAL
1. Remove the engine assembly. Refer to Engine
Removal & Installation page 3.27.
2. Remove the oil filter adapter. Refer to Oil Filter
Adapter Service page 3.50.
3. Remove the oil pump and oil cooler. Refer to Oil
Pump Service page 3.52 and Engine Oil Cooler
Service page 3.85.
4. Remove the stator cover. Refer to Stator Cover
Service page 3.70.
5. Remove the starter motor. Refer to Starter Motor
Service page 4.14.
6. Remove the six fasteners
q
securing the rear engine
mount bracket
w
to the engine and remove the
bracket.
7. Remove the two M8 upper crankcase fasteners
e
from the top of the motor.
