4. 2020 Models:
Install a NEW prop shaft pin using special tool (PN
2872608).
2021+ Models:
Install prop shaft bolts. Torque to specification.
TORQUE
Front Prop Shaft Fasteners:
22 ft-lbs (30 Nm)
5. If previously loosened, reinstall the steering rack.
Refer to Steering Rack Installation page 9.8.
6. Install the front bumper. Refer to Front Bumper
Service page 11.31
FRONT PROP SHAFT SERVICE (CREW)
REMOVAL
1. Raise the vehicle off the ground.
WARNING
Use care when lifting the vehicle. Serious injury or
death may occur if the vehicle tips or falls.
2. Remove the front bumper. Refer to Front Bumper
Service page 11.31
3. Remove the skid plate. Refer to Skid Plate Service
page 11.35.
4. 2020 Models:
Remove the prop shaft pin using special tool (PN
2872608).
2021+ Models:
Remove prop shaft bolts.
IMPORTANT
Before removing the propshaft, make and index mark
on the shaft on the carrier and differential side so that
the shaft can be reinstalled in the same orientation.
