Handling Firmware Update Errors
An error message shows in the first line if an error occurs during a download. The error code consists of
the letter "E" and a number ("E20", for example).

Code Meaning Solution
20 Cannot map logical address Make sure the SD card is inserted correctly.
21 Cannot access memory HDD connection incorrect or replace hard disks.

Cannot decompress compressed
data
Incorrect ROM data on the SD card, or data is
corrupted.

Error occurred when ROM
update program started
Controller program abnormal. If the second attempt
fails, replace controller board.
24 SD card access error
Make sure SD card inserted correctly, or use another
SD card.

No HDD available for stamp
data download
HDD connection incorrect or replace hard disks.

Data incorrect for continuous
download
Insert the SD card with the remaining data required for
the download, the re-start the procedure.

Data incorrect after download
interrupted
Execute the recovery procedure for the intended
module download, then repeat the installation
procedure.
33 Incorrect SD card version
Incorrect ROM data on the SD card, or data is
corrupted.

Module mismatch - Correct
module is not on the SD card)
SD update data is incorrect. Acquire the correct data
(Japan, Overseas, OEM, etc.) then install again.

Module mismatch – Module on
SD card is not for this machine
SD update data is incorrect. The data on the SD card is
for another machine. Acquire correct update data then
install again.

Cannot write module – Cause
other than E34, E35
SD update data is incorrect. The data on the SD card is
for another machine. Acquire correct update data then
install again.
