Chapter 1 Background
System C/U Select
10:905 [System C/U Select] allows either calculated or user-entered parameters to be applied to controller gains and filter bandwidths. It
also allows you to transfer calculated parameter values to user-entered parameter values so you can use them as a starting point for manual
tuning if desired. Table 2 lists the parameters that are applied to the controller when 10:905 [System C/U Select] = Calculated.
These parameters are auto-calculated as a function of 10:906 [System BW], 10:907 [System Damping], 10:901 [Load Ratio], and
10:902 [Load Coupling] during out-of-box and autotune calculations. You can also manually increase or decrease system bandwidth to
automatically adjust these parameters so that a single parameter, 10:906 [System BW], can be used to proportionally adjust all of these
control loop parameters.
Table 3
lists the parameters that are applied to the controller when 10:905 [System C/U Select] = User Entered.
This selection allows you to enter values for these parameters directly. Figure 16 on page 19
shows how various parameters impact the
System C/U Selection. Autotune updates the parameters in red, which then triggers the automatic calculations upon any change of their
input parameters.
