A/V jack
Connect your camcorder to a TV using the
supplied A/V connecting cable as shown in
the following illustration.
Connect the supplied AC Adaptor to the wall
outlet for the power supply (p. 16).
Refer also to the instruction manuals supplied
with the devices to be connected.

*I The supplied A/V connecting cable has a video
plug and an S video plug for lhe video connection.
*2Tbi s connection produces higher quality DV formal
pictures. When lhere is an S video jack on the
device to be connected, connect the g video plug to
thai jack instead of using the yellow video plug.
The audio wg[ not be oulput when you connect wi_h
the S video plug alone.
WhenyourIV is connectedto a VCR
Connect your camcorder to the LINE IN input
on lhe VCR using lhe A/V connecting cable. Set
lhe input selector on lhe VCR to LINE.
WhenyourIV is monaural (Whenyour
IV hasonly one audioinput jack)
Connect lhe yellow plug of the A/V connecting
cable to lhe video input jack and connect lhe
white or lhe red plug 1o the audio input jack of
your TV or VCR.
When you wm_t to play lhe sound in monaural
mode, use a connecting cable (optional) for d_at
purpose.
