CYLINDER RING
Inspect the cylinder ring for wear or damage. If it is worn or
damaged, replace it with a new one.
REASSEMBLY AND REMOUNTING
Reassemble and remount the front fork in the reverse order of
removal and disassembly. Pay attention to the following points:
SLIDE METALS AND OIL SEAL
• Hold the inner tube vertically, clean the metal groove and
install the inner tube slide metal by hand.

Do not damage the Teflon coated surface of the inner
tube’s slide metal when mounting it.
• Install the oil lock piece 1, outer tube slide metal 2, oil seal
retainer 3 and oil seal 4 onto the inner tube.
NOTE:
When installing the oil lock piece, insert the tapered end

oil lock piece into the inner tube

Check the installation of the spring

when reassemble the oil
lock piece.
