PIVOT SHAFT
Measure the pivot shaft runout using the dial gauge. If the runout
exceeds the service limit, replace the pivot shaft.
% 09900-20606: Dial gauge (1/100 mm)
09900-20701: Magnetic stand
09900-21304: V-block set (100 mm)
$ Swingarm pivot shaft runout
Service Limit: 0.3 mm (0.01 in)
REAR SHOCK ABSORBER
Inspect the rear shock absorber for damage and oil leakage. If
any defects are found, replace the rear shock absorber with a
new one.

Do not attempt to disassemble the rear shock absorber.
It is unserviceable.
REASSEMBLY
SWINGARM NEEDLE BEARINGS
Before installing the needle bearings, install the spacer.
Press the needle bearings into the swingarm pivot using the
special tool.
% 09941-34513: Steering outer race installer
NOTE:
Install the needle bearings with the stamped mark facing out.
Apply SUZUKI SUPER GREASE A to the spacers, dust seals
and needle bearings.
For USA
& 99000-25030: SUZUKI SUPER GREASE “A”
For the other countries
& 99000-25010: SUZUKI SUPER GREASE “A”
CUSHION LEVER AND CUSHION LEVER RODS
Inspect the cushion lever and cushion lever rods for damage.
