5-44 CHASSIS
• Remove the spring 2.
• Place a rag over the brake caliper piston to prevent it from
popping out and then force out the piston using compressed
air.

Do not use high pressure air to prevent brake caliper
piston damage.
• Remove the dust seals and piston seals.

Do not reuse the dust seals and piston seals to prevent
fluid leakage.
BRAKE CALIPER INSPECTION
BRAKE CALIPER
Inspect each brake caliper cylinder wall for nicks, scratches or
other damage.
BRAKE CALIPER PISTONS
Inspect the brake caliper pistons for any scratches or other
damage.
RUBBER PARTS
The removed rubber parts 1 should be replaced with new ones.
