Initial Setup
When you first turn on or reset the TV, the Initial Setup
window will appear.
1 In the Menu Language field, press _ or • to select
your preferred language and press @.
2 Next, the Local Time Setting window will appear.
Press • or • to select Time Zone, set your desired
time zone with _ or •.

Then, press • or • to select Daylight Saving Time.
Press _ or • to select On or Off, and press _).
Next, the Location setting window will appear.
For normal home use, press _ or • to select Home
and press '_).
5 Next, the ANT/CABLE In setup window will
appear. Press • or • to highlight Cable or
Antenna, and press _o_)to select the input.
Note: If you do not want to scan channels, you do not
need to make a selection forANT/OABLE Highlight
Next and press ,_ to skip this step.
6 If you select Cable, and then highlight Next and
press @, channel scan will start. If you select
Antenna, and then highlight Next and press _, the
Channel Tuning Mode setup window will appear.
To tune only digital channels, select Digital. To
tune digital channels preferentially over analog
when entering channel number directly, select
Auto. For normal tuning, select Standard. Press
_o_.
7 Press ,_o_)to start Start Scan.
Note: If you want to stop scanning, press _,_,_while
scanning.
You can stop the Initial Setup with _. However if you
do not finish the entire Initial Setup process, the Initial
Setup window will appear every time you turn on the
TV.
Note: ,_ does not work until the settings of Menu
Language/Time Zone/Location finish.
QuickSetupfrom the SETUPmenu
You can conveniently change various basic TV settings
from the Quick Setup item located under the SETUP
menu.
1 Press _ to open the SETUP menu.
2 Press • or • to select Quick Setup and press _.
3 A confirmation message will appear on the screen,
press _ or • to select Yes and press Fo_.
4 Other procedures are the same as Initial Setup
(_#r' left-hand column).
Selectingthe menulanguage
You can choose from three different languages
(English, Frangais and Espa6ol) for the on-screen
display of menus and messages.
1 From the SETUP menu, highlight Menu
Language.
2 Press _ or • to select your preferred language and
press ,r_.
