1. Use a 3/8 inch BSP male pipe ngs to aach the f
emale quick-release connector
to the cooling water supply hose.
2. Use a 3/8 inch BSP female pipe ng to aach the male quick-release connector
to the cooling water return hose.
3. Remove the dust-caps from the cooling water inlet and outlet.
4. Connect the water return hose to the cooling water outlet (Figure: Controls/
connectors on the rear of the system). Install a water ow meter in the water
supply line close to the pump and connect the water supply hose to the cooling
water inlet (Figure: Controls/connectors on the rear of the system).
5. Turn on the cooling water supply.
6. Switch on the electrical power to the system. Wait for approximately 2 minutes.
Use the Pump Display Terminal accessory (PDT) refer to Pump Display Terminal
(PDT) on page 93 and press the Setup buon. Under the Setup menu select the
Test Mode opon. Select Water On and press Enter. This command will open all the
main pump water valves for approximately 30 seconds.
7. While the main pump water valves are open, adjust the water ow rate so that it
meets the requirements given in Table: Water cooling system data. If more me is
required to adjust the water ow rate, access the Test Mode opon again and
select Disabled. Press Enter. Access the Test Mode opon one more me and
select Water On same as before. Repeat this test unl the water ow rate has been
set to the required value.
8. Once the cooling water ow r
ate has been set, go to the Setup menu on the PDT.
Select the Test Mode opon. Select the opon Disabled and press Enter. The valves
should now close and the ow rate displayed by the water ow meter will
decrease.
9. Switch o the electrical power to the system.
10. The water ow meter can now be removed.
11. Inspect the water hoses, pipelines and connecons and check that there are no
leaks.

WARNING: INSTALLATION SAFETY
Risk of injury
. When you install accessories in the dry pumping system enclosure,
make sure that the pump is switched o and Lockout and Tagout the electrical supply
before removing the enclosure panels.
WARNING: HOT SURFACES
Risk of burn injury
. The surfaces of the dry pump, booster and spools are very hot
when the system is running. Let these surfaces cool to safe temperatures before you
install accessories in the system enclosure.
