2. The maintenance that can be done on the system is as follows:
A. Do an inspecon of the connecons, pipelines, c
ables and ngs inside the
pump enclosure, refer to Inspect the connecons, pipelines, cables and
ngs on page 67.
B. Examine and clean the exhaust pipe, elbow, and check valve.
Note:
The sys
tem is supplied with a trapped O-ring or a metal seal for the exhaust
connecon, based on the pump type and ancipated exhaust temperatures.
Make sure that seals are always replaced with the same type.
The system requires no maintenance. Pump protecon sensors installed in the system
do not require roune maintenance. The decommissioning operaons that can be
carried out, refer to Relocate the system for decommissioning on page 86 and Drain the
cooling water for decommissioning on page 87. Maintenance must be carried out by our
service centres refer to Service on page 91. The frequency of maintenance operaons
depends on the process.
7.1 Inspect the connecons, pipelines, cables and ngs
If the system is not relocated for maintenance, make sure all supplies are locked out and
tagged out before you start the procedure that follows:
1. Remove the enclosure side and top panels.
2. Check that all the connecons are secure. Tighten all the loose connecons.
3. Do an inspecon of all cables, pipelines, hoses and connecons and check that
they are not corroded or damaged and do not leak. Repair or replace any
pipelines, hoses and connecons that are corroded, damaged or which leak.
4. Install the enclosure side and top panels again.
